STUDENT UNITED WAY
Young people across the country are helping to improve their local communities by giving, advocating and volunteering. This powerful movement called Student United Way, is helping to advance the common good. Student United Way is a campus based student led organization that works in partnership with the local United Way. Currently, Student United Ways exist on more than 60 campuses across the United States including: technical & trade schools, junior and community colleges, colleges and universities, as well as several high schools.
The Western Kentucky Student United Way (WKU Student United Way) is the student-run branch of the United Way of Southern Kentucky. We are a group of student volunteers devoted to lending our Time and Talent for the benefit of our surrounding community. Through our efforts, we hope to encourage other students to become both active members of our clubs and volunteers within their own community. Ultimately, our goal is to inspire our members to continue giving and volunteering beyond their careers at WKU.
